Glossybox February 2013 Valentines Edition

Glossybox February 2013 Valentines theme box

To start with I must say  for the first time Hermes surprised me with speedy delivery!
Box has been sent out just yesterday evening too early to track yet and what a surprise got delivered early morning!

Now let's concentrate on the box and content
What a lovely design pink with printed flower bow cerise ribbon and pinkish filling much different than usual.

This month I got:

Micabella Cosmetics-Mineral blush powder in Siera Suede
Modelco-Eyeshadow palette in Bronzed Godess
Helen E Cosmetics-Lipstick in Raspberry
Anatomicals-Blooming shower
Docteur Renaud-Raspberry cream

Micabella Cosmetics-Mineral blush powder in Siera Suede
This product has sneak peak on Glossybox Facebook just before box was sent out  with many good reviews and some bad as well I must say never tried this brand before and I do use minerals so I will test it.
Siera Suede is warm peachy bronze colour as far as I like a little bit more sparkle in blush this  it will be good for more natural look
Provided 0.8 g  value around £3 pot full size 9g for £34.95

Modelco-Eyeshadow palette in Bronzed Goddess
Known brand for me tried some other things from them before and available to buy in Boots.
In box eye shadow duo in Maldives & Jamaica value around £12 as full size product is eye shadow trio and cost £18

Helen E Cosmetics-Lipstick in Raspberry
British brand I know it as well and have some products  already maybe is not brand I will normally buy I don't see package will last long as feels rather cheep and plastic but lipstick feels nicely creamy and they do have decent products.Got in Raspberry which in real is more like burgundy plum than raspberry pink.
This is full size 3.5 g value £8

Anatomicals-Blooming shower
Now to start with I'm not a fan of this brand at all as in my opinion packaging is rude and products are cheap and not good quality this is blooming shower rose body cleanser smells rosy enough light pink in colour probably will use it at some point
In box 150 ml worth £2.50 full size 300 ml £5

Docteur Renaud-Raspberry cream
Last but not least Docteur Renaud again brand I'm familiar with it's french pharmaceutical brand available to buy in M&S Raspberry Soft Cream Limited Edition particularly suitable for normal to  dry-prone skin.
Love the smell, not sticky or shiny, smooth on skin and provide good level of moisture.
Generous size 30ml worth £15 full size 50ml  £25

Bonus treat Glossybox heart shaped lollipop.

Overall inside box  just over £40 but is about the content and in this month I'm happy with almost all products  sizes are generous at least definitely will use them all!

If like me you're keen to know what other boxes provided I've seen from Micabella selection of colours in blushes and eyeshadows as well, selection colours of Helen E  and Miners Cosmetics lipstics, MEMEME illuminators,
Balance Me Rose Otto body cream,Figs and rouge lip balms and Narciso Rodrigues L'eau samples.

just to clarify all my opinions are honest

Glossybox October 2012

Glossybox October 2012 box just arrived.

With so many great products to try in the past with as many disappointing it always make me think should I keep it or should I cancel it and always after crap month deciding to give it a chance another month to get decent box and crap again it's like rollercoaster.
And for many of you who subscribe I bet is the same like with me can't wait to see what it will be.
So this month in all boxes we get as always five (or just four if you got  Dermalogica Clean Start Day/Night Kit) from selection of ten product:

Skinetica Anti-Blemish-small bottle 10-15ml/full size 100ml-£6.99

Green People Organic Tan-20ml tube/full size 200ml-£17.95
Anatomicals Scrub-75ml tube/full size 200ml-£3.49
Dr. Jart Premium BB-15ml tube/full size 40ml-£24
Sally Hansen Complete Manicure-full size bottle-£6.99
Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Instant Anti-wrinkle Moisturiser-full size 30 ml-£18
Yves Rocher Couleurs Nature Lipstick-full size £14.5
Organic Pharmacy Enzyme Peel Mask not sure sample or small tube as full size £49.00
Dermalogica Clean Start Day/Night Kit-full size kit of minis 50ml wash,50ml cleanser,
15ml lotion-£12
Olay 3 Point Cream-7ml tube/full size 50ml-£29.99

Now first come to my mind like last few boxes why do we bother to have beauty profile up to date just to get product not suitable for us and it keep happening in last three boxes now this time anti-blemish and as I would love to be teenager again HELLO GLOSSYBOX CHECK MY BEAUTY PROFILE I'm 30 and I would like to stay looking like that so with open arms will welcome all anti age you get me but acne/prone skin for me it doesn't matter how good quality they are they will not be used sadly Glossybox do not listen customers at all and if you do subscribe for at least few months and at any point you contacted customer service you know what I'm talking about.Anyway my little sis will be happy with this so it will go to good use.

My box contain:

Skinetica Anti-Blemish  cleanser  as stated before no use for me do I classify this
product as luxury or high end no and to be honest for price £6.99 full size would expect a bit
 bigger size bottle

Anatomicals Scrub the same here with price £3.49 would expect full size but 75ml is fair size
although they don't seem to have internet shop seen good range of products in Asos
and as I like scrubs and this is paraben free and they do delicious flavours this smell
like pink grapefruit

Dr. Jart Premium BB now for this can't wait to try as I like bbs this cost £24 available in Boots suitable
for over 30's so it look like I'm in that bracket it has high SPF 40 and good for
sensitive skin as well

Yves Rocher Couleurs Nature Lipstick full size colour 106 Mauve I'm happy with as
I do know it and it's decent creamy lipstick with good pigmentation cost around £14
but if you shop in YR you know they often have good offers and gifts with every order

Olay 3 Point Serum at that point without even mentioning I getting this samples
free from Olay or Boots the same product I got in my last Glossybox it wasn't on my card
got it instead Gaga sample which I know how it smell and it is not in my taste so
I didn't mind then.

So happy with three products out of five, one not suitable with my beauty profile and one repeated
reviews after proper try.

Thanks for reading and comments as always very welcome ;)

Glossybox August 2012

Glossybox just arrived and this month  theme is ‘International Superstars’.

Provided products are from all over the world so we would have a chance  to try out some products we probably have never  heard of before!

Enjoy sneak peak contents of my box and reviews will be available after proper try out of the products to give a real opinion!

August box include six products including four full size in my box:
(products information from provided Glossybox card)

Alessandro-Pro White Nail Polish /Germany

Optically brightening effect nail polish with anti-yellowing formula for radiant white and gleaming nails.
RRP: £7.85/10ml
Provided bottle is not full size although no information about size I would say 5ml bottle which is fair size product worth approx £3.72.Polish has transparent blue colour like UV light to neutral yellowing. Most of the time I wear UV gel or acrylic nails but in a mean time when giving my nails rest I will give it a try (these of you who wear fakes know that nails can get slightly discoloured after).I try it as well on UV gel nails to see if prevent yellowing of the gel and let you know as well.It  is not ideal product for many but for me it will be used.

DHC-Deep Cleansing Oil /Japan

This revolutionary water-soluble cleanser is better than any other make-up remover you've ever tried.
RRP:£18.50/200ml
Directions:dispense into dry hands and massage onto dry face to dissolve makeup, dirt and other impurities.Rinse thoroughly.
Provided size is 30ml worth approx £2.77
I’m looking forward to trying this product and as I have rather dry skin I don't mind oily formula and already using oily make up cleansers so know how effective they are.

to find out more visit:
for £5 off purchases over £25 (exp.30/09)

Vera Valenti-L’ombre a Paupiere Maragrita/Spain

An eye shadow palette offering a selection of ten different colours with an applicator included.
Full sized RRP: £3.85
Colours are natural browns and cream and green shades as well so very neutral I would normally use colours like them for more natural look but I wouldn't even risk to put this on my face.
Starting with suggested price is overpriced as their own site lists it at €2.00 (£1.57) plus expensive Spanish tax so you know what quality can expect from cheap product like this and in did it does look cheap.Colours are not matt but not pearly as well just a little bits and one of the greens is pearly. Now I did tried them roughly on hand wet and dry and staying power to be honest is poor barely can see any colour I would say they do not last long on but can not be sure and would not test it as ingredients used are far too irritant plus made in China with animal testing allowed!
So this product is very disappointing

Lipcote /UK

The Original Lipstick Sealer and secret of long lasting, feather fade and water resistant lipstick.
Full sized RRP: £3.99
Now many of you probably know this product already I used it in past years ago and I didn't loved it so what I remember about it was alcohol smell, sticky when applied too much and dried my lips (alcohol in ingredients) and I use long stay lipsticks anyway but to be honest maybe will try it again.

to find out more visit:

Glossybox -Lipstick in Glossy Pink

Professional beauty lipstick for soft and glamorous lips with a luminous,long-lasting colour.
Full sizer RRP:£9.50
Sleek black packaging, looks sturdy enough, made in Germany, the lipstick itself is very creamy and pigmented and colour is suitable pinky but not just pink it has more natural undertones so will suit many.Colour says on for a long time and even after food pinky stain still on bonus do not dry lips so yes I do like it is a decent lipstick but for that price would go rather for more expensive brand. Sadly not fragranced and I do like nice smelling lipstick.

Last product seems to have different variations in every box so could be Vallentina Addoluto parfum sample, all about eyes balm perhaps many others  but I got...

Brodway Nails-imPress-On Manicure/USA

imPRESS by Brodway Nails is the revolutionary way to apply polish! Simply peel off, press on, and done!
Full sized (24 nails) RRP: £7.99
I've tried these before, they're a quick fix manicure and they last well. Design burgundy and cooper swirls to be honest would not pick it myself but they definitely will not be wasted as product itself is good.I using them while giving my nails a little bit rest from gel or acryl.

to find out more visit:

So overall value of the box this month is approx £30 what is decent value for price £10 paid for box but I do not like it so much like July box.
I like some products more than others love oil still will use polish, nails and lipstick not so sure about lipcote and definitely not eye palette.
Sadly nothing luxury about this month box...

Price per box £10 plus £2.95 p&p
